I have enjoyed all of Kat Martin's Against romantic suspense series. I've enjoyed some more than others. I usually don't reread these stories but they keep my interest. I liked both the hero and the heroine. Dylan was honorable and had been born in Alaska and knew how to survive on the land. Lane was a kind but savvy businesswoman from LA. I had long looked forward to this new series from Kat Martin, but this book is very disappointing. In addition to the Difficulty in getting to know/like the characters, the writing seems so blah compared to Ms Martin's other novels. The characters don't seem to have any depth or sizzle to them; they were, instead, stiff and one dimensional.
